Position Information

  • The HRAI supports the College’s human resources functions including policy administration, recruitment, onboarding, payroll functions, reporting and training.  The HR Associate I supports designated departments and employees to promote their success and help meet the operational needs of the College of Dentistry.


    Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Administration, Management, Organizational Administration, Public Administration, Labor Relations, Business Administration or a field closely related to the position.  Two (2) years (24 months) of work experience performing professional-level human resources duties. Additional education, training, and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position may be required.  PHR certification and 5 year’s experience is highly desired.


    The ideal candidate is team oriented and has human resources experience in talent acquisition in a healthcare organization or public sector and experience working in a unionized environment.  The ideal candidate enjoys and thrives working in a fast-paced clinical environment that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.   Candidates with direct experience with the State University Civil Service System and UIC systems are strongly encouraged to apply.

     

    Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity. The salary range is $65,000 - $75,000.
