Position Information

  • Butler Community College is seeking a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

    Reporting directly to the College President, the Chief Human Resources Officer serves as the institution’s senior human resources leader and provides strategic vision and leadership for all HR functions. These include talent acquisition and onboarding; compensation and classification; benefits administration; payroll; human resources information systems; professional and organizational development; and employee and labor relations.


    The CHRO is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive human resources policies and practices, while ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations. This role serves as a trusted advisor to college leadership, providing expert guidance on HR strategy, employment practices, and regulatory matters.


    As an administrative appointment, the CHRO is a member of the President’s Cabinet and Executive Council and plays a key role in advancing the College’s operational effectiveness and long-term strategic goals.
