Anticipated hiring range is $88,084.93 - $98,993.28 based on experience.
Position Description:
This position manages and administers the planning, implementation, communication, operations and monitoring of employee benefit programs, retirement plans, wellness program, compensation program, and related strategic initiatives. Develops, recommends and implements approved, new or modified plans and employee benefit policies, and manages administration of existing plans. Plans and directs the College's compensation and classification system. Reviews classification and compensation requests. Ensures market competitiveness, cost effectiveness, effective and efficient daily operations, compliance with regulatory requirements including timely compliance with state and federal filings, a high level of service to employee customers, and manages a staff of 4 – 6 employees.
Minimum Qualifications:
This position requires at least a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of prior-related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with State of Florida benefit plans.

Knowledge and understanding of public sector employee benefits policies, procedures and regulations.

Experience implementing and maintaining compensation and classification programs.

Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), or Certified Compensation Professional (CPP).

Experience working with brokers, legal counsel and others to ensure proper administration of all employee and retiree programs.

Experience managing employees.

Experience using a Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), especially Workday.

Experience using an electronic records imaging system (e.g. Perceptive Software’s ImageNow).

Strong oral communication skills with the ability to use tact, diplomacy, flexibility and discretion in all interactions.

Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete projects under deadline pressure.

Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office programs including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, & Outlook).

Detail-oriented, excellent organizational skills, proactive and accustomed to meeting deadlines.

Ability to maintain high level of responsibility regarding confidential information.
